DOCTOR (GENERAL PRACTITIONER WITH AVIATION MEDICINE QUALIFICATION)
OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION - SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
A locum is required to undertake Primary Healthcare (PHC) clinics for Military and entitled personnel carrying out examinations and Occupational Health (OH) assessments within the locum doctor's scope of experience and qualification. The local medical authority must be informed of any case that may affect a serviceman's ability to undertake their duties.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Must be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) both on the main register and on the GMC GP Register without Restrictions and be able to provide Fitness to Practice and proof of annual appraisals. Locums are required to be in possession of a Diploma in Aviation Medicine or have completed the RAF Military Aviation Medicine Examiner (MAME) Courses
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Previous Ministry of Defence (MOD) experience.
Previous experience of working within an MOD Airfield/Naval Base
