Two Part-Time Headache Specialist Doctors

The National Migraine Centre is a medical charity which provides specialist consultation to people suffering with headache. As you may be aware, with headache being one of the top 10 most debilitating conditions as described by the World Health Organisation, the demand on headache clinic appointments in the UK is huge. We diagnose and treat patients from the UK and internationally without the need for a GP referral. We are involved in headache research as well as patient and clinical education.

We are looking for two part-time headache specialist doctors, one to start as soon as possible and one to start in 3 months. Full and bespoke training will be provided so you do not need to be skilled in this area to apply: we are looking for someone who will be a good fit for our team. We do not usually prescribe but instead make recommendations to NHS GPs re management options. We can prescribe on a private prescription. We have no access to scanning or phlebotomy.

A key requirement is that all members of the team, besides treating patients, are actively involved in our education programmes and there is ample opportunity for media involvement (writing articles or press-releases for major media outlets). However, our patients come first and we operate as a collegiate body focused on delivering safe high quality care.

We are funded by voluntary donations, grants and other fund-raising activities.
